Hillcrest uses SMART Boards

Students have access to three or more computers in every classroom.  These computers are used for teaching, skill reinforcement, assessment, desktop publishing, and research. Almost all classrooms have interactive technology installed.  Five classrooms have Mimio devices, eleven have SMART  Boards in place.  Twenty seven rooms have LCD projectors.  Two classrooms have IRespond student clicker systems that are shared with other classes.   All classrooms in use at the opening of school in 2009 will have RapidRun cabling and ceiling mounts in place.

Economic Recovery Funds from the Federal Government will be used to populate the remaining classroom and resource rooms with SMART Boards. Hillcrest will be the first elementary school in Enterprise to have mounted, interactive computer technology in place in every classroom. Integrated technology makes Hillcrest truly a school with it's vision on the future!

The Technology Leadership Committee was formed during the 2008-2009 academic year to manage technology growth and training. The committee members include: D'Andra Tingey, Loren Newingham, Natasha King, Sandy Granger and Marcus P. Howell.
